Privacy Policy

Verve ("we," "us," or "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect, how it's used, and your rights regarding your data.
The short version
Verve collects no personal data from you. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. We have no servers that store your tasks, journal entries, mood logs, lesson progress, or anything else. We can't read your data because we never see it.
What information the app stores
The following information is stored locally on your device only, using your device's built-in storage:
- Your name (only if you provide it during setup)
- Your responses to the intake survey (diagnosed status, top struggles, goal)
- Tasks you create and complete
- Journal entries and brain-dump notes
- Mood and energy check-ins
- Lessons you've completed and your course progress
- Streak count and activity dates
- Focus session history
- App settings (theme, sound, notification preferences)
This data never leaves your device. We have no access to it. If you uninstall the app or use the "Reset all data" button in Settings, this information is permanently deleted from your device.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect your email, phone number, or contact information
- We do not require an account
- We do not use analytics, tracking, or telemetry
- We do not use advertising
- We do not share, sell, or transmit your data anywhere
- We do not use third-party tracking SDKs
Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app schedules them locally using your device's notification system. The notification text is generated on your device. No notification content is sent through our servers because we have none.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, billing, and any personal information you provide for billing purposes — not us. Please review Apple's privacy policy for information about how Apple handles purchase data.
We receive only aggregate, anonymized subscription metrics from Apple (e.g., total active subscribers). We do not receive personally identifying information about subscribers.
Email support
If you contact us at support@verveadhd.app, we receive your email and message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry. Emails are stored in our support inbox and deleted within 12 months unless an ongoing conversation requires otherwise. We do not add your email to any marketing list.
Children's privacy
Verve is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us at support@verveadhd.app and we will assist.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal data, most data-protection rights (access, deletion, portability) are exercised entirely on your device:
- Access: All your data is visible within the app itself.
- Deletion: Use the "Reset all data" button in Settings, or uninstall the app, to permanently delete all stored information.
- Portability: This feature is not yet available within the app; if you would like to export your data, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document indicates when changes were made. Material changes will be communicated in the app's release notes.
