Terms of Service

Last updated: May 25, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Verve ("the app"). By using Verve, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. About Verve

Verve is a mobile application designed to support adults with ADHD through interactive lessons, focus tools, journaling prompts, and gentle daily nudges. The content is educational and based on published research, but it is not medical advice. (See "Health Disclaimer" below.)

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Verve, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. You also agree to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Verve.

3. Health Disclaimer

Verve is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional medical or mental health care. The information provided in lessons and tools is for educational and self-reflection purposes only.

Specifically:

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical or psychological concerns.

4. Subscriptions

Verve offers optional premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store:

A 3-day free trial is offered to new subscribers.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing your subscription

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via the App Store app.

Cancellation

To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

All refund requests are handled by Apple, in accordance with Apple's App Store refund policy. Verve does not directly process refunds. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Free trial

If you subscribe during a free trial period, your trial converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before then.

5. Your Account and Data

Verve does not require an account. All data you create within the app is stored locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device. If you lose your device, change devices, or uninstall and reinstall the app, your in-app data may not be recoverable.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Verve only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You agree not to:

7. Intellectual Property

All content in Verve — including text, design, graphics, lesson content, audio, and code — is owned by Verve or its licensors and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from this content without express written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you create within the app (journal entries, tasks, etc.), which remains on your device only.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Verve is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Verve, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
